This 59 is SOLD SOLD - 1959 Mercedes 300SL Roadster.
This 300SL Roadster that was built in 1959 for 1960 model year
is one of 1858 ever produced. It is a rust-free California car,
three owners and was originally delivered in Red with a Black interior.
Marx Mercedes Service (Est.1970) has been servicing this 300SL for over twenty
years. Over $30K has been spent on the engine & brakes. brand
new leather interior & new German Soft-top and has had some
new paintwork. This is an excellent turn key 300SL in excellent condition
with both hard-top and soft-top. The 300SL was the pioneer of multi-tube
"space frame" approach to chassis construction. All-independent suspension - the rear by
treacherous swing axles and direct fuel injection. Top speed of 165 mph
from the 3.0-liter straight six engine. It is a beautiful example that
